ABSTRACT: A new species Schizostachyum diaoluoshanense N. H. Xia, L. L. Zhang et R. S. Lin sp. nov. (Poaceae-Bambusoideae) is described and illustrated from Diaoluo Shan, Hainan, China. The new species is closely related to S. pseudolima, but differs by shorter internodes, florets 1-4, palea apex of fertile florets equally 2-keeled, and keels up to 2 mm long. A key to the new species and its allies is provided.
